Check out the “Let it Snow” Xmas 2020 Group youtube project!”
Here in the US, with Covid, I wasn't really paying any attention to Live Theatre, but there's actually a couple of GREAT Musicals that have been out that I'd LOVE to see!
Fiddles and more!
Has anyone seen "Amélie the Musical" - since it was updated in 2019??
Supposedly it was only on Broadway a short while, then they did an update/overhaul - and it's been getting RAVE reviews.
Synopsis available on Wikipedia.?
Here's the trailer (WhatsOnStage):?
I really want to see it live!?
...but hope I don't have to wait years to watch from home. ??
"Hadestown The Musical" is coming to Detroit in November - it has GREAT bluzy music!?
Here's Anais Mitchell's Concept Album "Hadestown".? Love at 9:10 and 19:16!
?? I'll have to check to see if I'd have to stay all the way in the back with my wheelchair - assuming Covid numbers down.?
Have you seen either of these?? If not, check them out!
I was tossing up wether to watch this last week, but the prices for bad seats were ridiculous, and the theatre in which it was on, in leicester square, has pillars dotted all over the auditorium so many seats are restricted or partially restricted view, its a shame because it looks really good.?
If you ever get the chance to see 'Once' dont miss it, one of the best musicals I have seen, it is also a film, its set in dublin about a busker who meets a polish girl, lots of fiddle banjo and guitar as well as singing, very funny , sad, and entertaining, the music was written by Glen Hansard. It actually won an oscar for best original song, I have seen it five times, once in dublin and four times in the west end over the years.
Just shows how brilliant a very simple chord sequence can sound, if you have the voice as well that is.
